The automatics are hand wound fully at the beginning of their week's usage, then allowed to maintain whatever power level they reach during the week's use. When they're put up for their layover, they obviously grind to a halt after their PR is exhausted.

The 3570.50 is fully hand wound each morning of its 7 day use period and exhuasts its PR after its latest tour is over.

The only exception to the rotation would be a trip where time zones would be crossed, in which case the GW GMT is the choice for the duration of the trip.

All that said, I have no idea whether it is necessary to allow mechanicals to exploit their full power range. __________________
